Let Tony Bring the Training to Your State!
Are the legal professionals at your firm and colleagues in your area in need of the latest National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) impaired driving training, but too busy to travel? If so, Tony will come to you. Whether it is the NHTSA's Driving Under the Influence (DUI)/Standardized Field Sobriety Training (SFST) practitioners course, Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.), or an overview of the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program, Tony Corroto Enterprises, LLC, will come to your state and teach the course so you do not have to hassle with traveling. Tony provides all the materials for a course to include a manual (hard copy), certificate of completion, flash drive of additional materials, and sometimes CLE credits.
Types of Seminars
A.R.I.D.E. for Legal Professionals
The Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E) course is a 16-hour course of study designed to enhance law enforcement officers' ability to recognize the role of traffic enforcement and its relationship to highway safety. Legal professionals learn everything law enforcement officers are taught in the A.R.I.D.E course. Participants receive a certificate of completion, 2018 Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement Participant Manual (hard copy), flash drive with additional drug-related materials, and sometimes CLE credits.
Deconstructing the State's Case on SFSTs and the DataMaster DMT
This course gives an overview of breath testing, SFSTs, and the three phases of DUI detection. We utilize the state's materials to bolster the client's defense. The breath testing portion delves deep into the results produced by the DataMaster DMT. We look behind the number as to how accurate and reliable it is. Participants learn how to obtain information that can help raise reasonable doubt in the minds of jurors. Participants receive a certificate of completion, flash drive including DUI and breath testing materials, and sometimes CLE credits.
The NHTSA's SFST Training for Legal Professionals
This course trains attendees in the current NHTSA/SFST training curriculum. Participants learn about the following: recognizing driving behavior exhibited by impaired driving capabilities; attitudes and skills in detecting impaired drivers; the three phases of the DUI detection process (vehicle in motion, personal contact, pre-arrest screening); DUI enforcement and the three SFSTs (Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus [HGN], Walk and Turn [WAT], and One Leg Stand [OLS]); typical behavioral manifestations correlated to the consumption of alcohol; divided attention testing and the NHTSA/SFST administrative and scoring protocols; SFST validation studies; alcohol workshop where participants administer SFSTs on volunteers with blood alcohol concentrations (BACs) from 0.00 to 0.15 (not always included). Participants receive a certificate of course completion, 2018 DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Participant Manual (hard copy), flash drive with additional DUI related materials, sometimes CLE credits, and a live alcohol workshop (depending on the amount of instructors).
